2008 Collings OM1 Ba A

A truly unique and beguiling guitar, this custom Collings OM1 features a deep and darkly hued back and side set of A-grade Brazilian rosewood and an incredibly fine Red spruce top. Dressed in style 1 appointments, the understated look of the guitar is wonderfully counterpointed by the instrument’s tone. It’s a bold guitar, with exceptional volume and headroom; maturity and openness throughout its range, and the clarity and balance that defines Collings flat-top tone. And it can do fingerstyle as comfortably as it can carry the energy of a heavy flatpicked attack.

Apart from the woods used in the guitar’s build it is a standard OM1. Tortoise-celluloid bindings and pickguard, standard neck with 1-11/16” nut and 25.5” scale, gloss finish throughout, and Waverly tuning machines. Ebony fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, and pearl inlays.

The guitar is in perfect condition and presents as new. There is no finish or fret wear, and the set-up is fresh, compliments of Folkway.
