2001 Collings 0002H

Serial # 7503. Amazing to think that this guitar was built some 13 years ago. It looks exceptional; with a very finely cared for finish, and only the lightest wear to its frets. With its nicely matured voice and nearly new appearance, this gorgeous Collings twelve-fretter is a particularly exciting addition to our recent instrument inventory.

000-sized 12 fret body with scalloped braced Sitka Spruce top, herringbone trim, and ivoroid bindings. Straight and quartered master-grade Indian rosewood back and sides, with zigzag back strip and endgraft. Mahogany neck with slotted headstock and traditional volute, rosewood overlay and pearl inlay. 1-3/4" nutwidth, standard neck carve, 25.4" scale length. Ebony pyramid bridge, bone saddle and nut, and beveled-edge tortoise-celluloid pickguard. Gloss lacquer finish throughout.

Beautifully set-up in shop, the guitar is an exceptional fingerstyle 12-fretter, and a particularly fine flatpicker, as well. Balanced, loud, and mature voice.
