2001 Oskar Graf 10-String Classical

A stunning creation by legendary Canadian guitar maker, Oskar Graf. Graf is widely considered to be one of the finest luthiers in the world, and his guitars are exceptionally crafted, and always a few notches above in their tone.

This 10 string was built in 2001, and features (apart from the obvious), Indian rosewood back and sides, western Red cedar top, finely mitred purflings and a masterfully built flush-cutaway. Ebony fingerboard, rosewood purflings, rosewood bridge, and three-piece mahogany neck. Schaller tuning machines, endpin-mounted condenser microphone, and bone nut and saddle.

The neck measures 82mm wide at the nut, and features a scale length of 650mm. The strings spread to 108 mm at the bridge.

The guitar sounds exceptional in the hands of a skilled player. The string balance is excellent, and the power of the bass notes is surprising. We have the four basses tuned A-B-C-D, which feels balanced and offers access to most of the bass notes a musician would want.

The guitar is in excellent condition and is nicely set-up. There are some fingernail marks and you'll find light finish wear, as expected of a professionally-played instrument.
