Vintage-Style Rope Guitar Strap

Some of our favorite things that walk into our shop are cool “case candy," often accompanying guitars from their past lives. Lots of old picks, strings and, best of all, simple and elegant lengths of rope: the rope guitar strap was the preferred way to hold up a guitar for most of the 20th Century. However, these original straps are rare and often in rough shape, so we have tracked down the most accurate and period correct rope available to make beautiful new rope straps!

We have dozens of single and two-tone colours to choose from, from muted burgundy to glitzy rose and gold. Each rope guitar strap is cut to a standard seven feet and the ends are tied off to prevent fraying. Matching tassels for hanging from the headstock or endpin can be added at additional cost. These straps make the perfect companion for light-weight guitars and are ideal for the player who finds modern straps too bulky.
