Larrivee D-60 Lefty
The D-60 is Jean Larrivee's offering to the Bluegrass community. This factory lefty Herringbone features top-notch rosewood and spruce tone woods, a one-piece mahogany neck complete with dart volute, a bound ebony fingerboard, herringbone top purflings, maple body bindings, and enlarged soundhole for stronger mids and trebles. The Larrivee-designed tuners are open geared and are finely engraved, and the nut and compensated saddle are cut from bone. Larrivee guitars are known to be loud - but the D-60 is REALLY loud. It's a great bluegrass flatpicker, and a force to be reckoned with. Standard dreadnaught scale length and a 1-11/16" nut. A deluxe hardshell case is included in the price.

2005 Sobell Parlor Lefty!
There are more than a few things uncommon about this guitar. First off, it's a Sobell. The very respected northern English luthier has been building instruments one at a time for more than 30 years; his instruments are rare (particularly so here in North America), and among the most
desirable fingerstyle guitars on earth. Second, it's a Left-handed Sobell - so multiply that rarity by a hundred or more. And third, it's a Brazilian rosewood and European spruce Parlor model - a proportionally scaled-down
Model 1 in size and design, but with a full-length scale. The instrument was custom ordered with exquisite old-world Brazilian rosewood, a European Spruce top Stefan Sobell had been saving since the early 1970's for the
right instrument, and a Cuban Mahogany neck. Typical of the Model 1 theinstrument features multicolored purflings and stylized herringbone marquetry, all of which are perfectly mitered and inlaid. Like all Sobell "Flat-tops" the top and back have pronounced arches, a design which helps
achieve the trademark powerful and rich tone of Sobell's instruments. The instrument has clear and distinct basses and mids robust trebles, and a full voice at any volume. A light touch can coax plenty of subtly out of the
small instrument, but dig in hard, and you'll be rewarded with a powerful and strong sound; there is an amazing amount of headroom in this design. This instrument is in showroom new condition. It shows no playwear or
markings of any kind. It is fitted with a Highlander pickup, gold Gotoh tuning machines, bone nut and split saddle, ebony bridgepins, and gold strap-button. About the size of a Martin 14 fret 00-28, the guitar's body
measures 14 1/4" wide at the lower bout. 25.6" scale length, 1-25/32" nut width, and wide bridge string spacing of 2-1/4".

2002 Breedlove J15 MAP Lefty
Serial # 4649. This left-handed twelve string is a work of art to behold and play. Custom ordered with the most outrageously quilted maple back and sides, the tonewoods are showcased tastefully with simple - yet classy - appointments. Spoked abalone rosette, bound soundhole, ivoroid body and fingerboard bindings and mitered purflings all subtly add to the beauty of this instrument. 17" wide jumbo body with a soft cut-away, and a slightly shallow body depth of 4-1/16". Ebony fingerboard and pinless bridge, ebony tuning machine buttons and bound headstock overlay. 14 fret one piece maple neck with a scale length of 25.5" and a nut width of 1-7/8". Signature-Voiced Bearclaw Sitka Spruce top with scalloped braces and JLD Bridge Truss. Glossy amber-toned finish, satin neck; professionally installed Fishman Matrix under-saddle pickup. The instrument is in near flawless condition and has been set up in our shop. The only fault we're able to find is a very slight separation between two layers of the top's binding on the bass-side waist. A comfortable guitar to play, with excellent upper-fret access.

Santa Cruz Tony Rice LEFTY
The Tony Rice model continues to be one of the most popular instruments in our Santa Cruz lineup, and you'll know why with your first strum. It's designed to have exceptional balance across the strings, and it does so not by compromising its basses, but by adding fullness and power in its upper register. We're not sure how they do it, but every Tony Rice model we've encountered achieves its design goal and sounds incredible as a result. Indian rosewood back and sides, Sitka spruce top, ivoroid-bound ebony fingerboard with 25.4" scale length and 1-11/16" nut. Herringbone top trim, ivoroid bindings and mitered purflings. 4.25" soundhole diameter helps push out the mids and trebles. Like every Santa Cruz Guitar Company instrument, the TR model is entirely hand built and features a traditional dove-tailed neck joint, high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish, and an individually voiced scallop-braced top.

1958 Gretsch 6128 Duo-Jet LEFTY
Serial # 35203. With an estimated 40 to 50 left-handed instruments built up to the late 1970's, south-paw Gretschs are about as rare as - well - vintage lefty Gretschs! We're lucky to have found this one, locally no less, in the hands of a right-handed gentleman who has owned and played it upside down since 1971! Not only is it a lefty, but making this guitar all the more uncommon is its factory custom color paintjob. Duo-Jets come in black. Period. A few Cadillac green examples are known to exist and the 6129 Silver-jet was offered in various drum-skin sparkly colors - but orange, well they just don't seem to exist. Except for this one, that also happens to be left-handed. On top of it all, this particular Duo-Jet also has matching orange headstock paint and white-turned-cream logo. Very strange indeed, but completely 100% factory original. Obviously a custom-ordered one off instrument, this guitar has luckily not been modified over the years, and its pedigree checks out.
Original orange top finish and brown back and neck finish. Original tuners, bone nut (which has never been off), ebony fingerboard and original frets, lefty thumbprint inlays. Original Pat. Applied For Filter'Trons and original wire harness including switches and capacitors. All solder joints are original. Original bar bridge, and possibly original lefty Bigsby tailpiece (we're uncertain about the tailpiece as there are screw-holes from another tail-piece on the instrument. The most recent owner acquired the guitar with its current tailpiece in 1971, the only change he made to the part was in removing the black paint). Sadly, he removed and discarded the original lefty pickguard many years ago. Areas of the top's lacquer finish have been peeled away from the long-ago removal of a few stickers and black electrical tape (he admitted to decorating the guitar with the black stripes in a tiger-theme). The guitar plays well, with a good neck angle, decent original frets, and a fresh set up. Pickups read 4.12 (neck) and 4.20 (bridge), and pots and switches work well. Chances are that you've never played a vintage Duo-jet, and unfortunately we only have the one to offer!

1978 Fender Musicmaster Bass Lefty
Serial # S818568. Fender introduced the Musicmaster Bass in 1970 as an entry-level student model instrument directly below the Mustang in its lineup. The Musicmaster featured a short 30" scale length, single pickup, curved rosewood fingerboard, and a no-frills look. By the time this one was built the model was only offered in white or black, and by 1983 the Musicmaster line was abandoned. The instrument pictured here is in excellent condition and well set up. It has a few finish dings here and there, but is otherwise without issues and completely original. Best off, it's a factory lefty! Pictured here with matching amplifier (available separately)

Taylor GS MH/C Lefty
Taylor's new GS (Grand Symphony) guitars combine Taylor Guitar's legendary playability, and esthetic with a more acoustic tonality and openness. The body shape is reminiscent of the style 14's but slightly larger, and only available as a non-cutaway. A redesigned bracing pattern and Taylor's patented "Relief Cut" work with the larger body size in creating an instrument with a surprisingly developed and mature tonality. A superb recording guitar, fingerstyle instrument, and musical companion; but don't ask for the Expression System... they're only offering the GS guitars as strictly acoustic instruments! National El Trovador Lefty
Working closely with National endorsee (and all-around amazing guitarist) Mike Dowling, the El Trovador was designed as an updated version of the amazingly rare original El Trovador that was built in very limited numbers in 1933. The thirties El Trovador is Mike's favorite guitar, but was a very funky and low quality instrument, and he had been pressuring National to re-introduce an improved version of the model for a long time. His wish finally came true, and his new signature model is now finally available to all of us. It is a very faithful copy of the original design, but features improvements such as a truss-rodded neck, ebony fingerboard, removable palm rest; and - of course - the attention to detail that National is famous for. Like the original Kay-built instruments, the new El Trovador has significantly deeper and curvier dimensions than other National models (4" deep compared to an M2's 3-3/16"), and has a long 25.6" scale length, 1-3/4" nut, and slotted headstock. It sounds very different than any other National; the extra body depth imparts a bass response and warmth that you don't hear in the El Trovador's closest kin, the M2. It's somehow more vintage sounding as a result, and beguiling to play. Its mahogany body is purfled on all sides and bordered by ivoroid binding, and the resonator coverplate is surrounded by a four-layer ring of purflings. A very classy touch, and a nice way to offset the slightly aged nickel coverplate. Everyone here at Folkway thinks that this is best looking and best sounding guitar National Reso-Phonic has ever offered, and now you can get your very own left-handed version!

National Lefty VS Tricone
The ever-popular Vintage Steel Tricone in factory left-handed configuration. This steel Tricone has a plated satin nickel finish, mahogany neck and slotted headstock. The Vintage Steel finish on this guitar will age with use and the passage of time making each instrument unique. The Tricone design (3 6" cones and T-bridge), longer 25.6" scale, and a steel body sets this instrument apart tonally from other resonator instruments. Unlike most other guitars, you can't simply restring a right-handed Tricone and expect it to work as a left handed instrument - the folks at National Reso-Phonic needed to specially tool up to be able to build Tricones in left-hand, and we're pleased to continue to offer this instrument to you.

Santa Cruz H Rosewood Lefty
Here's a guitar that will make you want to sit back and slowly pluck away at your favorite traditional waltz. It's one that will mesmerize you with its complexity and openness, power and subtlety. It is the consummate audiophile guitar; akin to a ten-thousand dollar turntable or tube hi-fi power amplifier. Yes, I like it a lot. It is a custom-ordered left handed H model (not the H-13, but the standard H), with 14 fret neck, dreadnaught body depth (4-1/2" at the tail tapering to 3-3/4" at the neck), and vintage styling. Sitka spruce top dressed up with herringbone purfling, a 30's sunburst and rectangular ebony bridge. Rosewood back and sides, ivoroid binding, ebony fingerboard and headstock overlay; open-geared vintage-style tuners. Bone nut and compensated saddle; 25.4" scale and vintage-D profile neck with 1-11/16" nut-width. The H model gets its fat vintage tone partly from the hybrid scalloped / tapered bracing employed on its top - the tone-bars are scalloped and the X braces are tapered - and it really works. Its voice is already startlingly mature, and it is a brand new instrument. A particularly fine instrument

Santa Cruz H-13 Lefty
Although designed with a 1930's Nick Lucas Model in mind, these guitars are
not meant for tiptoeing, tulip season or not! The body depth ranges from 3
7/8" to 5", incredibly deep for a smaller guitar, producing extra volume and
bass support to bolster its rich tone. Its comfortable size and complex
tonal characteristics will make it especially appealing to traditional
players, soloists, and recording artists who demand maximum warmth and tonal
versatility.
Features of the handcrafted H-13 include a specially hand-tuned bracing
system beneath its top-grade Sitka spruce top, a slotted headstock for
classic style and enhanced string angle and sustain, and an ebony 1" x 6"
pyramid rectangular bridge. The sides and back are select mahogany, and the
mahogany neck features an ebony fingerboard with a total of 19 frets. An
ebony headstock overlay with pearl SCGC logo adds to the classic appearance.
The dark stained back and sides, sunburst top, and intricate purflings offer
a vintage look that works well with the shape of the instrument We have
found this to be a great feeling and entrancingly deep sounding guitar. The
13th-fret body joint has always seemed a nice compromise to me, allowing the
luthier to create that distinctive twelve fret sound, while giving
reasonable access to the second octave. With the huge rebirth of popularity
that 12-fret guitars have enjoyed lately, this model is creating a big stir.

Santa Cruz Vintage Southerner Lefty
The VS is essentially the popular Vintage Jumbo with a shorter 24.750"
scale. This makes it slightly less punchy than its longer scale brother,
but "sweeter" as a result. It will be huge hit for anyone in love with
the sound and feel of the first Gibson J-35s and J-45s. The VS is an
extremely light weight guitar - and resonates like nothing else. The rumbly
bass will astound you thanks to this light build, but the instrument is
still remarkably well balanced. The Vintage-inspired looks of this guitar
are well thought out and extremely tastefull; the late 30's style sunburst
top is just right, and complimented by an attractive rectangular bridge. The
Sheraton Brown back and sides are the right color too (although our photos
don't quite capture it), and the Mahogany wood grain is accented just well
enough by the finish. The neck profile was obviously very much inspired by
those super comfortable round necks of the 1940-2 J-35s, and at 1-3/4" wide
there is plenty of room to get your fingers where they're supposed to go...
Still, though, the best part of this guitar is that it's a Lefty!

National Mandolin LEFTY
Our first lefty mandolin from National Reso-Phonic has arrived! On top of what you can see in the pictures, this mando features a lefty compensated bridge top and a radiused fingerboard for playing comfort and proper intonation. The side dots are installed lefty, and the end of the fingerboard was redesigned for the left-ization. The tone is rich and warm but good and loud as you'd expect from any National. We're constantly amazed by its sweetness and woodiness of tone. We've already discovered huge versatility in its voice, and we're sure that you will too. The Brass coverplate and tailpiece come from the factory with a lovely aged patina. If you'd like to shine it up feel free to do so using a brass polish. It comes with a lefty hard shell case, too.

Santa Cruz 000 Lefty
Lefty finger-style guitarist of the world rejoice! Our long awaited Santa
Cruz 000 Rosewood has finally arrived! WOW. That about all I can say....
Ok, ok I'll tell you some more: The 12 fret 000-R shown here features some
of the most attractive Indian Rosewood we've yet seen - it has a richness in
hues akin to Cocobolo, and is perfectly quartersawn and straight grained.
The top is incredibly tight-grain Sitka Spruce - with at least 350 years'
worth of growth rings to show (I stopped counting at 250) - and the guitar
is featherweight. It has hand-scalloped bracing, with brace dimensions more
similar to a 30's Martin than most any new instrument out there; and the
evidence is in the tone. Rich, rich basses and trebles perfectly matched,
and harmonic overtones abundant in every register. Dreadnaught power, with
000 subtleties. And we've only had it for a few days! I can't begin to
image how good this guitar will sound as it ages and opens up. This IS the
vintage 12 fretter of tomorrow, without any doubt.
Ivoroid bound ebony fingerboard, Ebony bridge, bone nut and compensated
saddle, 12 fret neck with slotted headstock and ivoroid bound ebony overlay;
SCGC open-geared tuners with matching ivoroid buttons, soft vintage V
shaped satin finished neck with dart-style volute. Ivoroid body bindings,
zigzag back strip, herringbone top purflings. Thin hand-rubbed
nitrocellulose lacquer finish; hand cut and beveled tortoise shell celluloid
pickguard, and ebony bridge pins finishing it off. 25.4" scale, and 1 3/4"
nut.

National Style 1.5 Replicon, Lefty
A custom ordered Style 1.5, with Replicon relic treatment in factory lefty handed. It took six months to receive, but we think it was rather worth the wait. The Style 1.5 is a nickel-plated brass bodied Tricone, with delicate hand engraved lines and squiggles on the body edges. They keep getting better at the Replicon process, and the wear on this guitar is completely believable.

1992 Martin HD-28L LEFTY!
Serial # 516011. Lefty flatpickers should take a good look at this 15 year old HD-28L. Sure, it's in pretty much mint condition, and yes, it looks great - but first and foremost guitars are about tone; and this guitar has lots of it! This is a powerhouse of a D-28, loud and open, with ample headroom. It's one you can dig into with everything you've got and it won't max out. Very well taken care of over its 15 years so far, the instrument has no cracks, scrapes or bruises. Its finish is scuff and dent free, and there's really no pickwear to talk about. Mint condition means mint condition around here. Deep chocolate brown rosewood back and sides, and perfectly quartered even-grained Sitka top with no runout and medium-wide growth rings. Scalloped braces, herringbone top trim, old style C.F. Martin & Co. headstock decal, Schaller tuners. Ebony fingerboard and bridge, thin gloss lacquer finish. We've set it up in shop, too. This is a good one you guys.
With original hard shell case, and original hang tags.

1976 Guild D-50 Lefty
Serial # 141597. The D-50 has always been one of Guild's best selling guitars. It was designed to compete directly against Martin's D-28, and does so quite well. Like the D-28 the guitar has solid rosewood back and sides, a solid Sitka spruce top, ebony fingerboard and bridge, and white body bindings. 25.4" scale length, 1-11/16" nut, and a very comfortable round neck carve. This guitar is in good shape overall and plays well. There are two repaired top cracks, and the bass side has a repair at the waist that we've photographed. Finally, the original bridge has had a crack through the bridge-pins repaired all but invisibly. This guitar is in very good structural condition and has had no internal modifications. The action is currently set at 5 to 7 64ths, and there is some room on the saddle to lower the action slightly further. It sounds great - big and loud, and not dissimilar to a mid 1970's D-28

1937 Gibson L-00 Lefty
FON 50C-36. Ok, so here's something your don't see every day. Actually, scratch that. Here's something that you never, ever, in a million years, even think you'll come across! Vintage lefties are just about as rare as, well... vintage lefties; and finding a pre-WWII left handed guitar is a once in a lifetime occurrence. Well here you go. It's an original 1937 lefty Gibson L-00. Complete with a gorgeous fire-stripe pickguard and all the vintage tone you'd hope to hear. The instrument is in excellent condition, but has had some modifications over the years. The top and sides were oversprayed a very long time ago, and the back and neck were refinished at that time. The finish-work is of the highest quality; and may even be Gibson factory work from the 1950's. There is much crazing in the lacquer, and it looks quite respectably old. The headstock face has not been oversprayed, and its logo and finish are original. The bridge is a slightly oversized replacement, and the bone nut and saddle were cut and installed in our repair shop. There is a very (I mean VERY) slight shadow of a right-handed pickguard that you may or may not notice, and I suspect that prior to the overspraying of the top the guitar was fashioned with a second pickguard. Frets and tuners are original. As with all pre 1969 left handed Gibsons, the guitar is braced right-handed, and has dots on both sides of its fingerboard. The frets and fingerboard show lefty playwear, as does the top adjacent to the pickguard. The top wear is actually under the overspray, suggesting that this instrument was used by a left handed player throughout its life. The instrument checks out well, structurally. There are no top or side cracks, and only one well-repaired back crack. The original bridge-plate and bracing are all intact. The neck angle is fine, and the action measures a standard 5 to 7 64ths at the 12th fret. It has an added strap button on the heel of the neck, and the end-pin has been drilled for a pickup output jack. It has that perfect V-profile neck that most lefties have never had a chance to feel, and a roomy 1-3/4" nut width. A great sounding guitar, it's woody and balanced, loud and bright. Tonally, it's unlike any guitar most lefties have ever had a chance to play.

Santa Cruz OM-R Short Scale Lefty
The new 000-scale (24.9") OM model from Santa Cruz might make you stop
looking for another instrument for a long time... Based on their top-selling
OM model, the folks at Santa Cruz have introduced a standard model
short-scale OM (or 000, if you prefer Martin-speak) to appease all of us who
have been begging for such a guitar for a long, long time. The instrument
features all the same specifications as the standard OM, but with a 1/2"
shorter string length, and a slight replacement of the bridge. We love it,
and you will most likely, too. Standard models available in Rosewood

Santa Cruz Custom Rosewood H-13 Lefty
Although designed with a 1930's Nick Lucas Model in mind, these guitars are not meant for tiptoeing, tulip season or not! The body depth ranges from 3 7/8" to 5", incredibly deep for a smaller guitar, producing extra volume and bass support to bolster its rich tone. Its comfortable size and complex tonal characteristics will make it especially appealing to traditional players, soloists, and recording artists who demand maximum warmth and tonal versatility.
Features of this handcrafted custom H-13 include a specially hand-tuned bracing system beneath its top-grade Sitka spruce top and back and sides of Indian Rosewood. A slotted headstock adds classic style and an enhanced string angle for greater sustain, and the mahogany neck features an ebony fingerboard with a total of 19 frets. An ebony headstock overlay with pearl SCGC logo, and an ebony 1" x 6" pyramid rectangular bridge add to the classic appearance. The sunburst top and intricate purflings offer a vintage look that works well with the shape of the instrument. We have found this to be a great feeling and entrancingly deep sounding guitar. The 13th-fret body joint has always seemed a nice compromise to us as well, allowing the luthier to create that distinctive twelve fret sound, while giving reasonable access to the second octave. With the huge rebirth of popularity that 12-fret guitars have enjoyed lately, the H-13 is creating a big stir.
With deluxe hard case.

Larrivee 000-60 Lefty
Larrivee's OOO guitars have garnered a reputation as some of the best
sounding 12 fretters out there. There must be something about the body
dimensions working in conjunction with Larrivee's distinctive symmetrical
bracing pattern that makes these guitars sound as fine as they do. Perhaps
it's the vintage pyramid bridge and bone saddle, or maybe it has to do with
the steeper break angle that the slotted headstock provides. Whatever it is
that makes these guitars sound the way they do, we're thankful for it... as
these are consistently our favorite Larrivee Guitars. The rosewood example
pictured here features an incredible set of bookmatched, quarter-sawn back
and sides, and a perfect AAAAA Sitka spruce top. 1-13/16" nut width, and
25.5" scale length. Hard-shell Case included

1982 Guild D-70 Lefty
Serial # EF100189. What a fabulous guitar! Not only is it in near-mint condition, it sounds Guilderific too! A great strummer of a guitar - perfect for singing tunes and filling out the entire rhythm section at the next jam. Lots of volume and projection here with nice resonant basses and mids. It's a guitar that you can dig into when you want, and strum lightly is the song calls for it. The neck is very comfortable, with a round profile, 14" radius fingerboard and 1-11/16" nut. All solid tonewoods - spruce and rosewood, with maple bindings, 5-ply purflings, and an abalone soundhole rosette. The ebony fingerboard has pearl roof-top inlays that mimic the headstock outline, and add a classy touch. 5-layer headstock overlay, and pearl Guild logo and inlay. Ivory nut, three-ply laminated neck, ebony bridge and pins, new compensated bone saddle (by us), and a Barcus Berry bridge-plate pickup. The guitar is in near-new condition, and has great frets and a perfect neck angle. The D-70 was built for a few years in the early 1980's and was Guild's most expensive flat-top at the time.

National Style 0 Replicon Lefty
Yet another example of "You asked for it" from us here at Left-way Music.
National Reso-phonic's first ever factory lefty Replicon Style O! Very
cool, if we can say so ourselves. The Replicon is all about a worn-in look
- and this one was worn in by a delta blues lefty... But the frets and cone
are factory new and the instrument plays and sounds as good as we've all
come to expect from a legendary National branded guitar. Brass-body tone

NEW Yanuziello Electric Lefty
Joe Yanuziello has amazed us again with the latest of his instruments.
Custom built for us at Folkway are this matched pair of lefty and righty
electrics in Mahogany and figured maple. Joe's electric instruments feature
an ultra light hollow body with handmade hardware and custom Lindy Fralin
pickups. They are versatile instruments that combine a retro look with
modern playability. The body is constructed of a one-piece hollowed
mahogany back mated to a bookmatched figured hard maple top that is bound
with a single-ply ivoroid strip. The pickups are custom-made Lindy Fralin
high output DeArmond-style single coils that offer up the sound of those
great late 50's Harmony pickups with modern string spacing and shielding.
The bridges and pickup housings are completely machined by Yanuziello
himself and designed entirely to the specifications that he requires for
these original instruments. The bridge / tailpiece combo is infinitely
adjustable, and mechanically perfect. The instrument is finished in a
hand-polished gloss Nitrocellulose lacquer, with a Viceroy-brown sunburst to
the top and matching back and neck. Ivoroid pickguard and knobs and
standard two-pickup switching. The neck profile is styled after a 50's Les
Paul Special and has that ultra-comfortable round and fairly beefy feel that
us vintage guitar freeks just die for. The fingerboard is ivoroid bound
Brazilian rosewood, as is the peghead overlay. Kluson Deluxe nickel tuners
with metal oval buttons bejewel the headstock and Joe's logo finishes off
the instrument with a final touch of class.
The scale length is 24.75" and the bone nut measures 1-11/16". The guitars
weigh in at a feathery 5.2 pounds. The tone is all vintage - imagine a
combination of an early Gretsch Duo-Jet, an Harmony Stratotone, and a 50's
Les Paul Special and you'll have a fairly good idea of what these guitars
are all about. In our minds they are the ideal guitars - vintage tone and
vibe and feel with modern playability, dependability... and a Warranty!
With custom fitted TKL 8900 Les-Paul shaped hard case.

1966 Martin GS-70L Lefty!
Serial #214400. Talk about rare! Martin electrics are not easy to come by,
and Vintage Martin lefties are scarcer still; so you can imagine our
surprise when this original left-handed Martin GT-70L walked into the shop!
Martin records indicate that a grand total of 1 lefty GT-70 was ever made;
and here it is. The instrument features a full-hollow laminate maple body,
DeArmond pickups, bolt-on neck with a Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard,
trapeze tailpiece, and Kluson individual tuners. White body fingerboard and
headstock bindings, aluminum bridge base, non-original tunematic bridge
top, black plastic skirted knobs (which go to 9), and no pickguard (it's
missing). The guitar has been set up in our shop, and plays quite well. It
has a compressed Gretsch like tone, thanks to the combination of De Armonds
and hollow body, and excels at country and funk styles. It's a pretty cool
thing...

2002 Gibson Historic 1958 TV Les Paul Jr. LEFTY!
From the Gibson Custom Shop, Historic Division, comes this wonderfully
recreated 1958 TV Les Paul Junior... in lefty! The Junior was introduced in
1954 with a price tag of $49.50, but original examples of these instruments
are selling for more than 100 times that, TV yellow models twice as much
still - and best of luck finding an original Lefty! The Gibson Custom shop
has done a great job with this historically-accurate instrument. The
single-piece mahogany body is a full 1-3/4" deep (just like the originals)
with a long-tenon set-in Mahogany neck. The fingerboard is quartersawn
Brazilian rosewood and is fretted with late 50's style wire. The neck, of
course, is a perfect fit with its 1-11/16" nut width, 50's big chunky-round
profile and 22 frets to move though. The hardware is all nickel-plated, and
includes the lightweight aluminum wrap-around bridge/tailpiece made famous
by the original Les Pauls, and a single P-90 pickup with tone and volume
controls. The Nitrocellulose lacquer TV finish is incredible, with 100%
vintage correct color and translucency. To top it all off, Gibson gives its
Historic division guitars serial numbers akin to the originals, stamped in
black ink on the back of the headstock; this one is #8 2538. Magically
balanced, the guitar is a featherweight, too, weighing in at just 7.1
pounds. Sold with its original vintage-repro hang tags, certificate of
authenticity, and custom hard shell case.

1955 Gibson L-48/ ES-125 Lefty
Nope, it's not a factory lefty, but it is the next best thing. We started
with a 1955 Gibson L-48 that was missing all of its hardware, and made a
lefty electric out of it... just because we could! The tortoise celluloid
pickguard was made by us after we installed a Seymour Duncan Antiquity P-90
and a completely new wire harness in the guitar. The 3-on-a-plate Klusons
are new, and we've aged the buttons to look the part. We installed
period-correct lefty side dots on the neck, installed a Tone-Pros AVR-II
bridge, set it up with 11-49's and voila! A quasi-vintage lefty Gibson. It
has a great feeling neck, vintage appeal and vintage tone thanks to the
Antiquity P-90, and everything about the guitar looks just right and
perfectly believable. Very cool.

Recent Gretsch '57 Duo-Jet Lefty Mint
The Duo-Jet was Gretsch's answer to Gibson's Les Paul model, introduced in
1954 as well. The instrument pictured here is a very accurate
Japanese-built replica of the 1957 model, with hump-top block inlays,
DeArmond pickups, clear acrylic back-painted pickguard and Bigsby tremolo.
Chambered solid Mahogany body, set mahogany neck, black finished top,
vintage-style Grover open-back tuners. The body is light and resonant, and
the neck - with it's 24.75" scale - makes for a very comfortable instrument.
The DeArmond pickups have a moderate output and lots of that fat brightness
these have become famous for. The guitar is virtually unplayed, and is in
as-new condition. We've just set it up, too.
With original hard case.

fingerboard bindings, mitered purflings, and pearl soundhole rosette and
headstock inlay. Approximately the size and shape of a Larrivee L body,
this guitar is very comfortable to hold. It is in excellent original
