Since 1974, Canadian luthier Marc Beneteau has been perfecting the art of acoustic guitar making. Working alone, he carefully handcrafts each instrument using only the finest tonewoods and the accumulated skills that only years of experience can bring.
Chosen by two time North American fingerstyle champion Don Ross as well as top Canadian players Terry Tufts, David Gillis and Ray Montford, Beneteau guitars have long enjoyed a reputation for superb quality and excellent tone.
Marc's Guitars are tough to get; he has a waiting list of more than two years, but we always have guitars on order - and can custom order any of his instruments to your personal specifications.

Beneteau MJ
Our latest guitar from Marc Beneteau is an Indian Rosewood and Englemann spruce MJ bodied gem. Marc's guitars are among the finest hand-built instruments out there; they are meticulously constructed, and sound every bit as good as they look. Designed for fingerstyle playing, we've always found his instruments to be versatile guitars and great for flat-picking, too. Master grade tonewoods, bound in Cocobolo with mitered purflings, inlaid rosewood rosette, ebony bridge, bound fingerboard, and headstock face and back,; and Waverly tuning machines. The MJ body is a wonderful size - a unification of large and small body styles, which really captures the best of both sizes. There is ample bass when you want it, yet trebles that have the fullness and complexity of a light small bodied instrument. This guitar is sure to inspire. 25.5" scale, 1-3/4" nut.
With Deluxe TKL hard shell case.
