1959 Fender Champ
The classic 5F1 Champ, built in 1959 and still perfect 65 years later. Tube chart and chassis dated January 1959, original Oxford speaker dated 47th week of 1958. Original transformer, original tweed and grille. The three tubes all date to about the same period but were likely NOS tubes replaced during servicing, which was cleanly and sensitively done.
The amp sounds great and looks the part. It’s in great shape, with a nice collection of requisite cigarette burns. The handle is gorgeous and old, but we’re not sure it’s original. Looks old enough to be, though.
In perfect working order with updated fuze wiring and grounded AC cord.
